PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an XML document searching system for searching document with a search word containing character variants in the search word simultaneously while searching the document with the search word in searching the document by the search word.;SOLUTION: The XML document search system 10 searches the document with the search word containing the character variants by searching the character variants of the search word by using a character variants dictionary 16b, a parent character acquiring part 19, and a character variants group acquisition part 20 from a document database 16a of an XML format registered by using a character string analyzing part 13, the character variants dictionary 16b, a parent character tag generating part 14, and a database registering part 15 in order to search a document of the search word containing the character variants in searching the document by the search word.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
