PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable water sampling operations to be carried out rapidly so as not to affect a traffic, e.g., causing traffic congestion, when using a water sampling apparatus for sewage, a water sampling/collecting apparatus for sewage and a gas collecting apparatus for sewage which sample sewage water flowing in sewage channel constructed below ground of a public street and/or collect gas existing above the sewage water.;SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a telescopic nozzle 12 which can pass through a gas vent opening 104a formed in a lid 104 of a manhole 102 disposed along the sewage channel 100; a vacuum pump which pumps up the sewage water through the nozzle 12 and sends it to a water sampling vessel 40; and a water contact checking means 34 which checks whether or not the head of the nozzle 12 comes into contact with the sewage water. When carrying out the operations, the nozzle 12 is brought to pass through the gas vent opening 104a of the lid 104 of the manhole 102, without opening the lid 104, thereby shortening the operation time.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
