PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable electronic apparatus having a dictation study function and a method of dictation study.;SOLUTION: In the portable electronic apparatus, a touch screen is used for data display and input of handwritten characters, and a handwriting recognition module recognizes a corresponding character in accordance with a handwritten drawing on the touch screen, and a character stroke order correspondence table preserves a plurality of characters and stroke order data corresponding to respective characters, and a processing unit displays a character inputted from the touch screen by handwriting, in white font and smear away respective strokes of the character in white font in accordance with the order of stroke of the character, which is preserved in the character stroke order correspondence table, and displays the character in white font again so that dictation of the character is studied on the touch screen.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
