PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide forming methods of an original plate for forming a single particle film by arranging particles and the single particle film wherein particles using the original plate come close to each other and to provide an electrophoresis display device wherein high quality display is made possible. PSOLUTION: In the original plate having a base body and a plurality of recessed parts arranged in one surface of the base body, relations of dD1.5d, dP and 0.1dS1.5d are satisfied when an aperture diameter of the recessed part, arrangement pitch of the recessed parts, depth of the recessed part and average particle diameter are defined as D (m), P (m), S (m) and d (m), respectively. The particles are transferred onto an adhesive layer of a thermally shrinkable film in a single particle film state using the original plate, the thermally shrinkable film is thermally shrunk to form a transfer sheet and the particles on the adhesive layer of the transfer sheet are transferred to a body to be formed to form the single particle film.
