OPTICAL ACCESS NETWORK METHOD, OPTICAL ACCESS NETWORK AND OPTICAL SWITCH FOR OPTICAL ACCESS NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical access network method, an optical access network and optical switches of the optical access network for simultaneously solving three problems in a GE-PON (passive optical network) of the conventional technology, that is, a transmission range, security and transmission inhibition.;SOLUTION: These optical switches are used to connect an OLT (optical line terminal) and ONUs (optical network unit) in a multistage manner. In the direction from the OLT to the ONUs, a frame (packet) to be transmitted from the OLT to the ONUs is checked to connect the OLT only to an ONU of a destination written in the frame (packet) in a frame (packet) unit, and in the direction from the ONUs to the OLT, a control message that the OLT transmits to the ONUs is checked to connect only an ONU to which the OLT gives transmission permission to the OLT in a frame (packet) unit.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
