LEARNING ACTIVITY PLATFORM AND METHOD FOR TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE VIA NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for encouraging communication via a network between participants engaged in a learning activity.;SOLUTION: A communication channel is opened over the network between participants. An aim shared by the participants is provided (116). Cooperative interaction between the participants is required to complete the aim. Contents related to the objective are displayed (120) to respective participants of the learning activity. Messages are exchanged (124) in real-time between the participants via the communication channel, to allow the participants to progress cooperatively towards the completion of the objective. The input from one of the contents displayed to the participants is received. The input represents an action, taken in response to the exchanged message. The contents displayed to the participants are updated dynamically (136), based on the action taken by one of the participants during the learning activity of the aim, to depict progress towards the aim.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
