PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve an operability at the time when all program files having the same program titles are deleted, in a controller apparatus such as a set top box (STB) connected to IEEE1394 serial bus.;SOLUTION: When a selection of an optional program file, and a batch deletion for the selected program file and the program files having the same program titles are instructed by the user, a process (S3) for retrieving the program file having the same program title from among the program files being stored in all AVHDDs, by the STB, till the program files having the same program titles become to be not retrieved furthermore (YES in S4), and a process (S1) for transmitting a deleting command of the applicable program file to the AVHDD wherein the retrieved program files are stored, are repeatedly carried out.
