PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical junction connector that facilitates aligning and optical coupling without requiring expensive equipment, to provide an optical waveguide member module constituting the optical junction connector, and to provide a method suitable for manufacturing the optical waveguide member constituting the optical waveguide member module.;SOLUTION: The manufacturing of the optical waveguide member 34 comprises: a first stage for forming a substrate 61 that has an underclad 64 and a recessed part 65; a second stage for forming a core 63; a third stage for forming an overclad 71; a fourth stage for forming a protective member 73; and a fifth stage involving cutting.
