PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for charging sediment by means of a double tube tremie, which reduces the run-off of a pollutant from an opening without using a pollution preventing membrane while preventing the clogging of the sediment, induces the circulation of water inside a double tube, and enables the control of the drop velocity of the sediment and the reduction of the run-out of the pollutant by adopting a double structure wherein an outer tube is disposed around an inner tube having the opening.;SOLUTION: The outer tube 2 large in both diameter and length is disposed around the inner tube 1 having the opening 3 in the vicinity of a still-water level. The double tube tremie is used for the inner tube 1, and the depth of the opening 3 of the inner tube 1 is adjusted for the purpose of controlling the drop velocity of the sediment 6 within the inner tube 1 during the charge of the sediment 6 and circulating the water within the outer and inner tubes 2 and 1.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
