PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide design for smoothly applying pipe-in-pipe construction method.;SOLUTION: It is considered whether a new pipe can pass through based on pipe line investigation data of existing pipe and pipe length of new pipe which can pass through is determined when design of pipe-in-pipe construction method in which the new pipe is inserted into the existing pipe is performed. Bending angle of a joint of the new pipe when the new pipe is inserted in the existing pipe is determined based on pipe line investigation data. If the bending angle is in a tolerance range, insertion propulsion force of the new pipe is determined. If the determined insertion propulsion force is in a range of allowable resistant force of the new pipe, adoption of the new pipe is determined. If the bending angle exceeds the tolerance range, the type of the new pipe corresponding to that or length of the new pipe is determined, or laying length of the new pipe is reconsidered. If the insertion propulsion force exceeds allowable resistant force of the new pipe, the type of the new pipe corresponding to that is determined or laying length of the new pipe is reconsidered.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
