PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for terminating an olefin vapor-phase polymerization, capable of reducing an amount of production of a product during suspension and rapidly terminating the polymerization even with a small amount of a deactivator used, a method for starting an olefin vapor-phase polymerization and a vapor-phase polymerization apparatus. ;SOLUTION: In feeding a gaseous olefin to a fluidized-bed reactor, polymerizing the olefin while maintaining solid particles containing a catalyst in a fluidized state to produce a polyolefin and terminating the polymerization of the olefin, a deactivator is introduced from at least two or more deactivator inlets attached to the fluidized-bed reactor to stop the polymerization. The height of the fluidized bed is generally ≥3m. When the height in the direction of the fluidized bed from a gas distributing plate as a starting point is H [cm] and the inner diameter of the fluidized bed is D [cm], preferably the deactivator is introduced from the deactivator inlets installed in (a) a range of height Ha=-0.3D to 0.3D height and (b) a range of height Hb=0.3D to 2.0D (D is the inner diameter of the reactor [cm]).
