PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion treatment method, by which, in the dispersion treatment of a liquid containing fine metal oxide particles, the fine metal oxide particles can be efficiently and surely dispersed, while suppressing degeneration of the particles.;SOLUTION: In the method with which a dispersion treatment of the liquid to be treated containing the fine metal oxide particles is performed, by using a horizontal media milling dispersion machine 1 equipped with a cylinder 3 storing media 2, a stirring mill 5 disposed in the cylinder 3 and rotatably centered about a rotation shaft 4 in approximately the horizontal direction, the liquid to be treated is circulated in the cylinder 3 along the rotation shaft 4 direction; while the stirring mill 5 is kept rotated and the media 2 are mal-distributed on the downstream side in the cylinder 3, to form a media layer 40 on an inner wall 9b on the downstream side in the cylinder 3.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
