PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recognition device capable of estimating a special expression range and permitting suitable display concerning a technique of recognizing a phonetic sequence and converting it into a notation character string. PSOLUTION: The phonetic sequence recognition device comprises a special expression signal conversion means which converts a word string of a Japanese original expression part into an adhesive expression mode, and a word string of the special expression part into a display mode in accordance with the notation thereof, according to a discrimination result of a means for discriminating whether the word string converted by a means for converting the phonetic sequence inputted from a phonetic input means into the word string is the Japanese original expression or the other special expression part.
