PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pop-up flash unit which is inexpensive and easy to assemble without providing a buffer mechanism with a mechanism such as a gear damper and an oil damper.;SOLUTION: On a base 102, one end of an arm part 120a is rotatably pivoted and the other end is rotated on it as an axis. At this time, the rotated end part slides in contact with an elastic member 1 in the middle of the rotation. The sliding end part has its rotating energy weakened and is stopped at a 2nd elastic member 150. The center of the arm part 120a is inserted into a long hole 140 bored in the bottom surface of a flash light emission part, so the end part of the arm part is locked nearby the elastic member on the side of the flash light emission part 101.
