PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a midnight power utilizing device which stores inexpensive midnight power as positional energy and returns the positional energy again to eletric energy, and is miniaturized so that it may be installed even in a common building. SOLUTION: The bottom of an upper tank 1 and the bottom of a lower tank 2 are mutually connected through a first pipe 3, and the upper parts of both the tanks are mutually connected through a second pipe 4, and a rotary body 5 and a shut-off valve 6 are interposed on the way of the first pipe, and a motor 9 is connected to the shaft 7 of the rotary body through the first clutch 8, and moreover connected to a commercial power source 11 through a power source switch 10, and a generator 14 is connected to the shaft 12 of the rotary body through the second clutch 13, and moreover connected to electricity extinguishing apparatus through an electricity distinguishing switch 15 and liquid 16 whose specific gravity is heavier than water is put in the tank.
