PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical hollow fiber membrane type hemocatharsis apparatus having superior safety and module assembling property, used for the treatment of the chronic renal failure and having high water permeability.;SOLUTION: This high water permeability hollow fiber membrane type hemocatharsis apparatus is formed by housing the hollow fiber membrane composed of polysulfone-based polymer mainly containing hydrophilic polymer, the thickness of the hollow fiber membrane is 10-50 μm, the outer surface aperture is 8-25 %, the thickness deviation of 0.6 or more, the abundance of the hydrophilic polymer in the outer surface is 25-50 mass%, the elution of the hydrophilic polymer from the hollow fiber membrane is 10 ppm or less, and the burst pressure of the hollow fiber membrane is 0.5-2.0 MPa. The permeability using the purified water is 150-2,000 mL/m²/hr/mmHg or more and, when citric acid-added cow blood is sealed in the blood flow side and dipped in isotonic solution containing calcium for 10 minutes, the sealed blood is prevented from coagulation and the hollow fiber membrane is prevented from clogging caused by the coagulation.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
