PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lyric writing assisting apparatus which can select proper candidates for a word or phrase according to an image of part of music as well as an image of the whole music and present them to a user.;SOLUTION: Once a genre of music is set among lyric writing conditions (whole lyric writing condition) of the whole music, candidates for the constitution of the music are displayed in a pop-up window according to the set genre and the user selects desired constitution from the candidates for the constitution. When lyric conditions are set by the constitution of the music according to the selected constitution of the music and the set whole lyric writing condition, pieces of a lyric are extracted from a piece data bank for lyrics according to the set lyric writing conditions by the constitution of the music, the set whole lyric writing condition, and the selected constitution of the music and then displayed. The user changes the order of the displayed pieces of the lyric or adds a postpositional particle, a subordinate postpotional particle, etc., by referring to a technical guide etc., to complete one lyric.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
