PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of shortage of an intake air amount to decrease an engine speed after racing, resulted from damping of an air correction amount for first idling if the racing is conducted when the first idling is conducted. ;SOLUTION: In this rotation correction control method after starting of an internal combustion engine, in which in an idling state after starting the internal combustion engine, an enrichment correction of an intake air amount is conducted to maintain an engine speed of a preset target engine speed. When a predetermined condition based on a difference between the engine speed and the target engine speed is not met, the enrichment correction of the intake air amount is damped. In a driving state where the idling state is released and after the idling state is released, a time when the idling is started again is determined. The damping of the enrichment correction of the intake air amount is prohibited over a period from a time of driving states when the idling is released and the idling is started again after the idling state is released, up to a time when a preset predetermined time is elapsed.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2000,JPO
