PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently imparting an aroma to a natural plant material such as a dry flower, and a device for the same. SOLUTION: The method for imparting the aroma to the plant materials obtained by drying flowers, or the like, comprises using a holding agent for holding the aromatizing substances such as an essential oil and a container for maturing the holding agent and the plant materials, putting the holding agent into the container and mingling the aroma by permeating, or the like, the aromatizing material into the holding agent. By loading the plant materials such as the dry flowers, preserved flowers, or the like, on the holding agent for holding the aroma and sealing the container for a period until the aroma is attached to the plant materials, the aroma is imparted to the plant materials in a desired extent.
