PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the time and cost for assembly of power transmitting chain by providing a chain shock absorber in which a fastener for fixing the chain shock absorber is not used.;SOLUTION: A chain shock absorber without a fastener is provided which comprises a shock absorber body and one or a plurality of mounting arm forming a positioning block. The shock absorber is positioned by a groove surface of a chain housing which arranges a positioning block of the shock absorber. The shock absorber is firmly retained by substantial contact between the surface of the shock absorber mounting arm opposing to chain cover and the surface corresponding to a mounted chain cover.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2002,JPO
