PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a session control device in a WWW service system without interruption and with little possibility of illegal use by others when the service to start a WWW browser is received as another process by using the WWW browser not sharing a cookie having an unspecified term of validity.;SOLUTION: A WWW server writes a control number in a cookie having a specified term of validity and the cookie having the unspecified term of validity when a session is started. When a session ID is read from either of two types of cookies by the WWW server, the service is provided by using the session ID, and when the session ID is written in the two types of cookies and the session ID cannot be read from both of the two types of cookies, the session is determined not to be started.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
