PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently fractionating conjugated diene- based polymer latex by utilizing a specific filter medium and subjecting it to a high speed reciprocating motion. SOLUTION: This method is to fractionate conjugated diene-based polymer latex containing X1 wt.% (solid) polymer particles of each 1 to 100μm size into (A) conjugated diene-based polymer latex containing less than X2 wt.% (solid polymer particles of each 1 to 100μm size and (B) the rest of conjugated diene- based polymer latex, by employing a filter medium with its pore diameter of Yμm and subjecting it to a reciprocating motion running parallel to the surface of the filter medium at an average velocity of =20cm/s. In the above, the respective values of X1 , X2 and Y are as follows: X1 =0.1 to 5, X2 =X1 ×0.9 and Y=1 to 150. This method enables to provide an efficient fractionation of conjugated diene-based polymer latex and utilize each resulting latex effectively. In this method, there is neither discharge of industrial wastes nor the necessity of their treatment, and furthermore, it is industrially useful because the product yield is never reduced.
