PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain communication according to either of the IPv6 and IPv4 when a mobile terminal moves from an IP network capable of communication in compliance with both the IPv4, IPv6 to an IP network where the communication is available by only the other of the IPv4, IPv6. ;SOLUTION: A LAN-a is a network available of communication in compliance with the IPv4, IPv6 and a LAN-b is a network available of communication in compliance with the IPv4. Upon the receipt of an IP packet from an IPv4/v6 mobile terminal 106 to an IPv6 terminal 104, a mobile destination IPv6 mobile aid terminal 109 adds an IPv4 header to the packet and sends the resulting packet to a mobile source IPv6 mobile aid terminal 107. The mobile aid terminal 107 sends the IP packet from which the IPv4 header is eliminated to the terminal 104. A destination of the IPv4 header is an IPv4 address of the mobile aid terminal 107 and a source of the IPv4 header is an IPv4 address of the mobile aid terminal 109.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1999,JPO
