The pre-processing part 2 operates the normalization of the density values of data or noise removal from the inputted data, and transmits the data to a characteristic extracting part 3. The characteristic extracting part 3 extracts featured values from the data shaped by the pre-processing part 2. An identification function preparing part 4 prepares identification functions based on the extracted featured values, and stores the prepared identification functions in an identification function storing part 5. An image data inputting part 6 inputs image data for identification, and transmits the data through a pre-processing part 7 to a characteristic extracting part 8, and the characteristic extracting part 8 extracts featured values and transmits the values to an identifying part 9.
