In addition, formation method and usage of the packing material are disclosed. The HPLC packing material by this invention, the large surface area, has featured high hole ratio and satisfactory mechanical strength. As for this, in part, it is due to the part content of the surface active agent in adjusting the LC packing material. Character of these desires, part originates in the range where the hole diameter which is formed at the time of adjusting the packing material is narrow.
