PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce load on built-in circuits of a CPU or the like and decrease use quantity of memory by enabling a user to select whether decoding processing of video compression data recorded on a disk is to be performed or not, even when video compression data is recorded on the disk in addition to voice compression data, in a DVD-AUDIO disk reproducing device.;SOLUTION: When setting is made so that reproduction processing of a video signal is performed (YES at S1) and indication of reproduction is given to a control part by the user, the control part decodes A_PCK and V_PCK by an audio decoder and a video decoder, and reproduces a voice signal and a video signal (S5). On the other hand, when setting is made so that reproduction processing of the video signal is not performed (NO at S1) and indication of reproduction is given to the control part by a user, the control part decodes only A_PCK68 by the audio decoder, and reproduces only the voice signal (S3).;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
