PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a two color light source equipped with a function to compensate color slippage of mixed light.;SOLUTION: In one embodiment, this method generates mixed light using a fist light source (404) of a first color and a second light source (406) of a second color (102). The first light source and the second light source are a white light source and a colored light source (for example, red etc.), in one embodiment. Then, whether feedback tristimulus values expressing the mixed light is within the range of reference tristimulus values or not is determined (104). When one value from among the feedback tristimulus values is out of the range, the luminance ratio of the first light source to the second light sources is adjusted (106).
