PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test various test pieces without moving the main device of a transmission tester. SOLUTION: Gears BGa, GB2 and gears GC1, GC2 are installed at a shaft A and a shaft C via respective spline clutches CLB1, CLB2 and respective spline clutches CLC1, CLC2. The gears GB1, GC1 are engaged with the gear GA of a shft A. The gears GB2, GC2 are engaged with the gear GD of a shft D. Respective shafts D of a right gear and a left gear are connected by a connecting shaft. By this gear device, when the respective spline clutches are turned on and off perperly, the transmission route of a motive force can be selected freely. Then, for example, the right gear and the left gear are installed between the test-piece mounting base of a transmission tester, in which a driving device is installed on one side of the test-piece mounting base, and in which a motive-force absorbing device is installed on the other side and the driving device as well as between the test-piece mounting base and the motive-force absorbing device. Then, various test pieces such as a transmission, a transaccelerometer and the like can be tested.
