TOPOLOGY MAP DISPLAY APPARATUS AND TOPOLOGY MAP ANALYSIS METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a topology map display apparatus capable of easily confirming the number of chain connections of each apparatus while observing a topology map in a serial bus system such as a network in compliance with the IEEE 1394 standards and to provide a topology map analysis method.;SOLUTION: In a display of the topology map, a plurality of the apparatuses are represented by a plurality of blocks 21, a physical connection among the apparatuses is represented by a connection line 25 tying the plurality of blocks, and the connection line corresponding to a path for maximizing the number of chain connections is represented in a form identifiable from other connection lines (e.g. a thick line). Further, it is possible to display the blocks of each apparatus in a different form in response to the number of chain connections newly connectable to each apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
