PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antistatic agent for thermoplastic polymers capable of imparting an antistatic property having sufficient durability to a thermoplastic polymer molded product and having desired excellent properties such as reutilization of thermoplastic polymer molded product, etc., coating property to the thermoplastic polymer molded product, non-transferable properties from thermoplastic polymer molded product, blocking resistance between thermoplastic polymer molded products and non-tacky property of thermoplastic polymer molded product and to provide a method for carrying out antistatic treatment of the thermoplastic polymer molded product by using the antistatic agent and to provide the antistatic thermoplastic polymer molded product by using the antistatic agent. PSOLUTION: The antistatic agent is obtained by using a vinyl copolymer having a prescribed number-average molecular weight, having a unit formed from a specific monomer having a quaternary ammonium base and a unit formed from a specific crosslinkable monomer at a prescribed ratio in the molecule as an antistatic agent for thermoplastic polymers.
