PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an artificial spawning bed for cuttlefish using light and easily assemblable plastic nets of ropes or fishnets not getting rot to retain its shape so as to facilitate securing spawning levels comparable to that using a laurel-leaved tree and its setting up, laying away and tending after laid away. PSOLUTION: The artificial spawning bed is constructed according to the following practice. Lightweight plastic net bands 2a are radially set up at a place where parent cuttlefish come in the cuttlefish spawning season and each formed to a cylindrical frame, cuttlefish spawning chambers 2 are set inside the frames, a corrosion-resistant spawning substrate material 3 to be laid with cuttlefish spawns thereon is set inside each of the chambers 2 in a thicket fashion, and the top surface side of the radially arranged respective chambers 2 is set with a sunshade cover sheet 4 for shadowing the chambers 2.
