PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a starter circuit by which a voltage drop is small and which is formed in the shape of a monolithic semiconductor component by containing first and second main thyristors and a Zener protective diode connected to a tail from a head in parallel to each other between two terminals. ;SOLUTION: Thyristors Th1 and Th2 are adapted so as to endure high forward directional voltage higher than avalanche voltage of a Zener diode Z2, and the thyristors Th1 and Th2 are adapted so as to endure backward voltage of a power source from a receptacle. Similarly, a thyristor Th4 is adapted so as to endure voltage higher than avalanche voltage of the diode Z2 in an inverse mode as well as to endure voltage higher than power source voltage from the receptacle in a forward directional mode.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1997,JPO
