PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adsorbent for ions of heavy metals including rare metals and more particularly an adsorbent that effectively adsorbs heavy metals such as molybdenum, chromium, antimony, selenium, and arsenic from a waste liquor.;SOLUTION: The heavy metal adsorbent comprises zeolite and a lead compound represented by (PbO)x(FeO)y(Fe2O3)1-x-y.aH2O (wherein 0.1≤x≤0.9, 0≤y≤0.9, and 0≤a≤10). Alternatively, the heavy metal adsorbent is one obtained by mixing zeolite with a precipitate obtained by mixing a lead ion supply source and an iron ion supply source in water in a molar ratio of z:(1-z) (wherein 0.1≤z≤0.9) and adding a base to the mixture.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
