PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital subscriber line modem, an information processing apparatus, a program for realizing the digital subscriber line modem and information processing apparatus, and a storage medium for storing the program capable of sufficiently utilizing digital subscriber lines.;SOLUTION: The digital subscriber line MODEM for interfacing both a telephone set adapted to a signal system of a subscriber line shared as the digital subscriber line and an information terminal used for accessing a data communication network via the digital subscriber line from the standpoint of the subscriber line, is configured to include: an analog MODEM used for both or either of transmission and reception of digital information in compliance with the signal system; and a control means for setting the analog MODEM for an interfacing object in place of the telephone set in the case of detecting both or either of a fault for disturbing accessing and a sign of the fault and using the analog MODEM for the accessing.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
