PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit, device method, and program for correcting color signal, which are capable of making a color image data correction optimized to a continuously varying color image data characteristic, and a discontinuously varying sharp color image data characteristic which can be seen in a specific image data such as character data and a display device. ;SOLUTION: An object pixel Xn of an N-bit color signal and image display data of the adjacent pixels Xn-1 and Xn+1 inputted to an image display data input means 31 of a CDE processing circuit 14a are stored into a storage means 32; the image display data of the pixels Xn-1 and Xn+1 adjacent to the pixel Xn and summed by an adding means 34; the image display data of the object pixel Xn are doubled by a doubling operation means 33, and discriminated by a 1st LSB determination means 36 according to the difference value Δbetween the summed data obtained by a 1st comparison means 35 and the doubled data; the higher-order N bits of the doubled color signal data and the lowest bit of the LSB are summed; and thus, a (N+1) bit color signal is generated.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
