PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for evaluating a cationic resin-modified silica dispersion for ascertaining performance of the dispersion before using the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion as a raw material of coating liquid or the like, and for facilitating production control even when the conditions of manufacturing or preservation changes.;SOLUTION: In the method for evaluating the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion, the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion is evaluated by the ratio of desorption of cationic resin, which is desorbed from the surfaces of silica particles, in the cationic resin-modified silica dispersion in which silica and the cationic resin are dispersed in polar solvent.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
