Adsorption equilibria data have been measured for refrigerant R-123 vapor on Rohmand Haas Ambersorb 563; Calgon; Carbon BPL activated carbon and CAL liquid phase carbon; Kansai Coke and Chemical Company Maxsorb G505Z30; Norit RD2030; Adcoa silica gel, 408 and 59; and Dow polymeric resin XUS 40285.00 and XUS 43493.01 at several temperatures over a wide range of partial pressures. Isotherms were measured for R-134a on BPL activated carbon, Sorb-Tech coconut shell carbon, and silica gel 59. Toluene isotherms were measured on BPL, coconut shell carbon and silica gel 59. The data were correlated using the Dubinin-Astakhov equation. Adsorption properties are summarized by the partition function, which is a measure of capacity, and the dimensionless derivative, which is a measure of favorability.
