PPROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing rice crackers having high commercial values, capable of being separately packaged one by one by cutting rice crackers baked once into a uniform shape into round or square shape. PSOLUTION: The apparatus for producing shaped rice crackers has a conveyer in a first stage for transferring large-sized rice cracker, a plurality of guides for aligning the rice crackers on the conveyer belt, a conveyer belt group in a second stage, composed of each a pair of left and right belts provided every each guide in lower and upper parts in order to receive, one by one, the baked rice crackers aligned at positions following the conveyer belt in the first stage and move the rice crackers while pressing both side parts of the baked rice crackers from the upper and lower directions and rotary cutters each installed between a pair of left and right belts in lower and upper parts. The method for producing shaped rice crackers comprises cutting and shaping large-sized rice crackers by pressing the rice crackers with these rotary cutters in a state in which the rice crackers are each sandwiched between a pair of belts in lower and upper parts under pressure and transferring the rice crackers to a seasoning step.
