PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for prediction, with which the result of a small-to-medium-sized enterprise can be easily predicted when the top of business of that enterprise plans a strategy. SOLUTION: Data from the beginning to the middle of a predictive year are stored. A sales ratio by months (ratio by months or season index) is found from the sale of the year in the past, and the total of predictive data for the remaining period is found from the total sum of the middle data and the total sum of the sales ratio to the final value of the middle data. Temporary monthly average data for 12 months of the predictive year are found by adding the total sum of the middle data to the predictive data total, and predictive data for months next to the final month are found by the temporary monthly average data and the sales ratio.
