PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die and a method for molding with which a hard cotton molded body can be produced while having a desired projecting form and sufficient strength at a corner part curved while being projected. ;SOLUTION: In the state of opening a movable side plate 2D (movable side wall 3D) of female die 1, a hard cotton sheet H is inserted into the recessed space of female die 1, a male die 7 is inserted into the female die 1, and the hard cotton sheet H is pressed. Afterwards, the movable side plate 2D (movable side wall 3D) is closed and while sandwiching a side edge part H1 of hard cotton sheet H with a presser 9 of male die 7, that side edge part H1 is curved to be projected along with the inner surface of movable side wall 3D. Then, hot air is supplied through holes 32 and 91 on the female die 1 and the male die 7 into the hard cotton sheet H and this sheet is cooled later. After cooling, when the hard cotton molded body H molded by separating the male die 7 and the female die 1, the corner part on the outside surface of hard cotton molded body H is molded while keeping the desired projecting form and the sufficient strength without generating backlash.;COPYRIGHT: (C)1998,JPO
