PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the loading of a disk cartridge into a drive having a different recording method to a disk.;SOLUTION: A disk cartridge 1 is provided with a disk 2, a shell 3 which has housed the disk 2, first and second shutter plates 41 and 42 to open and close opening parts 31 for recording/reproduction provided at the front face and the rear face of the shell 3, and first and second slide members 71 and 72 to which the back surfaces of the first and second shutter plates 41 and 42 are attached. The first and second slide parts 71 and 72 are provided with a shutter opening member fitting part 9 which slides the first and second shutter plates 41 and 42 in a direction to open the opening part 31 when inserted into a first recording and reproducing apparatus by the fitting of a shutter opening member provided in the first recording and reproducing apparatus. The shell 3 is provided with first and second wrong insertion blocking parts 38 and 39 which block further insertion by the fitting of the shutter opening member provided in a second recording and reproducing apparatus when inserted into the second recording and reproducing apparatus.;COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
