PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain both a compound having low toxicity and showing excellent reverse transcriptase inhibitory activity and a reverse transcriptase agent. ;SOLUTION: This compound is represented by general formula (1) (R contains at least one hydroxy group and is an alkyl group or alkenyl group containing 10-20 total carbon atoms and the alkyl group and the alkenyl group each contains one or more bond groups selected from the group of an aryl group, -O-, -S- and -NH-).
