Cells expressing recombinase useful for adenovirus vector production and control of gene expression

Embodiments of the invention provide cells that stably express an integrase family recombinase, for example Cre or FLP. Examples of production of such cells, and uses of such cells, are provided. In some embodiments, a cell may additionally express one or more adenovirus E1 proteins. In some embodiments, the cell is an in vitro human cell.
