The present invention relates to a method and arrangements for updating traffic mapping in the form of a set of service level aggregate streams (SLS1, SLSM) to a partial feature set (B1, BN) for routing traffic on a communications network (21). Each aggregated service level flow corresponds to a service level associated with a set of service requirements. Information regarding traffic characteristics of each aggregate service level flow and network resource pool performance is obtained. Based on this information, the mapping from the service level aggregate flow pool to the network resource pool is updated to achieve more efficient use of the network resource pool while fulfilling the service requirement set.
