"EDIBLE MULTI-LAYER BARRIER AGAINST MOISTURE, AND METHOD FOR REDUCING MOISTURE MIGRATION BETWEEN FOOD COMPONENTS". An edible multi-layer moisture barrier for food products is provided to separate food components having different water activities and to prevent or significantly inhibit water movement between food components. The edible multilayer barrier against unity of the present invention includes a lipid layer and a flexible hydrophobic layer.
