The invention describes the unique composition of ingredients to improve the appearance, function and biophysical properties of the skin, which has changed under the influence of factors such as age-related aging, continuous sun exposure, harmful environmental pollutants, household chemicals, disease pathologies, smoking and poor diet. In particular, the present invention relates to the composition of cosmetics used for topical use and effective in treating senile and environmentally damaged skin. These products may include various combinations of cosmetically compatible plant lectins, a high-energy source for the metabolism of skin cells, such as lactic acid bacteria enzyme, hydrolyzed wheat protein, glycine, arginine and methionine, and beta-glucans, from which preparations are made using various types of cosmetic carriers. The present invention provides an effective alternative to the mono- and polyhydroxy acids used, retinoid compounds, vitamins, nutrients, devices for physical exfoliation of the stratum corneum, and various plant and animal extracts.
