Described are a palletizer and a method for automatically packaging demijohns, which comprise: a) a conveyor (T) for introducing demijohns (G) into the palletizer and placing them in a "first" position; b) a second demijohn (G) will reach the position of the first demijohn by means of the conveyor belt (T), which upwardly transports (A) through raised bars (B) using hidden devices; when a second demijohn (G) reaches the position of the first demijohn (G) this latter element accomplishes the "second" position; d) an introducer (I) for pushing the demijohns (G) and sliding the same over the horizontal bars (B) until reaching the storing area (R) (palette); f) the demijohns (G) are placed into the storing area (R) after being transported by the conveyor belt (T), thereby allowing the following demijohn to enter; g) the aforementioned operations are repeated until the storing area (R) is completely occupied by the demijohns (G); h) the inner surface (N) of the storing area (R) allows a forklift to introduce its hooks therein and move the storing area (R) (for storage or transport purposes).
