METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF PENETRATING GUNSHOT CRANIOCEREBRAL WOUND CAUSED BY LEAD SHOT

The method for the surgical treatment of the penetrating gunshot craniocerebral wound caused by the lead shot comprises the trepanation of the craniumfollowed by the revision of the wound canal. The trepanation of the cranium is performed with the aid of the crown mill. The cut bone fragment with the buttonhole fracture in the center is then used as the autograft. In the case of the simple blind wound canal, the shot is removed by the forceps. Then dura mater is sewed tightly. The autograft is treated and attached by three bone sutures to the edges of the trepanation window.
