METHOD FOR DETERMINING THE PERMANENT DAMAGE OF MATERIAL UNDER CYCLIC FATIGUE STRESSES

The proposed method for determining the permanent damage of material under cyclic fatigue stresses implies testing the material for fatigue strength at a constant temperature. The method consists in exposing the material to cyclic alternating load, measuring the current values of the elasticity coefficient of the material, and determining the damage level of the material by a specified equation and using the measured values of the elasticity coefficient.
