The aeroion technique for assessing the gastric acidity comprises preparing the patient for the examination and recording pH in the expired air on empty stomach. Then the acidity values are calculated. The use of drugs, the alcohol, perfumery, and cosmetic means should be avoided within 12 hours prior to examination.
